Troubleshooting Tekonsha T-One Harness Causing Tail Light on 2015 Kia Soul to Go Out
Question:
118431 t one harness I hooked this up to my 2015 Kia soul. Once the trailer is plugged in, the running tail lights on my vehicles driver side cut out. Everything else works great. I can unplug the trailer and turn my lights off and back on and it works again. Any ideas what this might be?

The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118431 that you mentioned is only a confirmed fit for the 2015 Kia Soul if it does not feature LED tail lights. I first just recommend making sure you don't have LED lights on your Soul which may cause issues like what you're describing with this particular harness plugged in. If you do have the LEDs then the correct trailer harness is actually the Tekonsha # 118637.
If you don't have LED lights I recommend making sure the T-connectors are fully seated with the factory plugs behind the tail lights (specifically the driver's side). Also make sure the white ground wire coming from the harness is securely attached to a clean bare metal surface on the vehicle's frame.
If the issue persists please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
