Advice for Wiring Furrion Camera to Constant Power for a 2019 Keystone Cougar 27RES
Question:
Just purchased a 2019 Keystone Cougar 27res, the dealership connected it to the running lights, which is ok, but in my truck 2005 F350, when the running lights are on during the day, the dash lights are dimmed, even with the brightness turned up all the way, its still to dim... So, for two reasons Id like to connect my camera to a switched constant power, 1 to eliminate the above, 2 to use the camera as a security camera while camped. Ive looked around for blogs to find out if there is already something in the wall i could tap into, and come up empty handed. Thanks for your help,

Your best bet is to look for an outlet or appliance for your 2019 Keystone Cougar 27RES that receives constant power and then tap into that 12V power, being sure not to overload that circuit. I wish I had a specific wiring diagram for your camper that I could give you to wire your Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System like part # FOS43TASF but unfortunately I don't so for specifics you need to consult an electrician and/or Keystone directly to ensure nothing is damaged.
I do recommend using a rocker switch with a light like part # PK34310 that has a red pilot light so you have a visual reminder when the unit is on/off.
