Roof Rack and Cargo Box To Carry Snowboards On 2015 Honda CR-V

Hello, I am looking for a roof rack and cargo box for a cross country move and subsequent outdoor activity use. I have a naked roof, and I was looking at the Rhino Rack Aero setup you have. Will this fit cargo boxes from the major brands like Thule and Yakima? Do you have any suggestions for the largest cargo box that will comfortably fit my car with no impact on the tailgate? I snowboard, so I would like it to fit skis and snowboards as well. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The Rhino Rack Areo Bar roof rack for the 2015 Honda CR-V part # RRVA137B-2 for the bars, part # RRRLKVA for the legs and part # DK284 for the fit kit is a great choice because of it's Aero bar design with vortex strips that cuts down on wind noise. It will also allow you to fit a variety of cargo boxes from major brands like you mentioned.

I recommend the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 part # Y95AV that gives you 16 cu ft of space and you should be able to get any combination of either 4 snow boards or 4 sets of skis in the box as long as they do not measure over 175 cm long.

To determine tailgate clearance you will need to take a couple of roof measurements even though you do not have the roof rack yet. Measure from the center of the front door jamb towards the windshield 11-13/16" inches. (This is where your front cross bar in the rhino rack will sit) Then measure from that point back to the line where the roof and tailgate meet. If that measurement is 47" inches or more you will have tailgate clearance with the SkyBox NX 16.
