Roof Rack for 2019 Toyota RAV4 Adventure With Raised Side Rails for Rooftop Tent and Awning
Question:
I recently purchased a 2019 Toyota Rav4 adventure with factory raised rails. I would like to add an 80 x 48 platform and put a rooftop tent on the platform. What would you recommend, crossbars and platform? Would also like to add an awning to one side.

We have exactly what you need to add a roof rack, rooftop tent and awning to your 2019 Toyota RAV4 Adventure with raised side rails. What will work perfectly to give you everything you want starts with a roof rack from Yakima:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425
- TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Raised, Factory Side Rails # Y33TR
With this roof rack on your 2019 RAV4 Adventure any of the following rooftop tents will fit:
- Yakima SkyRise HD Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars - 2 Person # Y07436 or 3 Person # Y07437
To add a compatible awning you will need the Yakima SlimShady Awning # Y36VR.
These tents do come with lock cores and though the roof rack does not you can add the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 6) # Y07206 to add locks to your roof rack and change out the locks to your tent so they are all keyed alike. Additionally, to get extra privacy while you are camping with your tent I recommend checking out the Annex for 2 Person Yakima SkyRise Tents # Y07421 or Annex for 3 Person Yakima SkyRise Tents # Y07422 which will work with the either the SkyRise or SkyRise HD tents.
I confirmed with Yakima that all of these products will work together to give you a setup that will make you the envy of campers everywhere. I have attached a number of links to video reviews for you on these products to take a look at as well.
