I reached out to my contact at Furrion and he said that the shorter female plug coming out of the cigarette adapter can be used with the plug from the camera to pair it back up if you were to ever have any connection issues down the line. It offers a hardwired connection to troubleshoot anything that might be going on. It is not needed for standard, every day operation.
