The best option for a roof rack on your 2016 Mazda CX-5 with a naked roof will be one with longer crossbars to make loading your kayak easier, as well as having an aerodynamic shape for minimizing wind noise and resistance, and durability to withstand a lot of use.

The most cost-effective option for a roof rack that fits your '16 CX-5 and meets all of those criteria is from Inno and consists of the following parts:

- Inno Aero Crossbars - 54" Long # INXB138-2
- Inno Through Feet for Aero Crossbars # INXS250
- Custom Fit Kit for Inno # INK758.

This rack will give you the perfect way to carry a kayak, comes with locks in order to protect your investment, and has a lifetime warranty which speaks to the rack's strength.

To carry your 10 foot kayak with this rack I recommend the Swagman Contour Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style - Fixed Arms # S65148 which is the most cost-effective option to carry your kayak and comes with everything you need to do so, including tie-downs. This is a fixed carrier but if you plan on leaving a carrier on your roof I strongly recommend a folding carrier, the etrailer.com J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding # E98878 which is our most popular kayak carrier due to it being not only high-quality, but also budget-friendly. Like the Rola, it also comes with tie-down straps so you do not have to get those separately.

I have added links to video reviews of the rack and kayak carriers for you to check out.
