Do I Have To Drill Into the Body To Ground the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for a 2015 Ford Flex
Question:
Can I ground the wiring harness to the bracket I install on the hitch rather than drill a hole in the vehicles body?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13110 is covered with a durable black powder coat that does not make for the best ground. Therefore, when installing T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118472 on your 2015 Ford Flex which is what I recommend you use, the ground will need to be attached elsewhere on the body to a bare metal surface. That said, there may very well be a factory ground point within reach that you can use instead of drilling a hole in the body behind the tail light.
I do not have an exact location for this factory ground point but there must be one close by so it will just take some poking around to find. The ground wire may or may not need to be extended to reach the factory ground point. I recommend just following the tail light wires to find this factory ground point.
