Mounting Bolt Holes of Titan Coupler
Question:
Why is it that we cant use the drilled holes on the top side of the coupler for mounting holes? Also, one of the Youtube guys mentioned that we aren't supposed to weld to truck frame flanges, the top and bottom of the C-channel that is the frame. Just curious.

You can absolutely use the holes on the top of the Titan Zinc-Plated, Leverlock Coupler # T4845000 as holes to bolt on the coupler; in fact that is their exact purpose. I'm not sure which video you were watching specifically, but this is not a weld-on coupler due to its zinc plating which can be more difficult to weld.
I have added a link to a video review of this coupler or you to check out.
