Can the Relay Inside a Progressive Dynamics Transfer Switch Be Replaced
Question:
Can you just replace the bad relay or do you have to buy the complete unit? Thanks

If the contacts on your relay are burned or pitted (see photo) then that means its voltage is dropping below 90 VAC under load. If this problem has occurred then you will need to replace the entire unit, Progressive Dynamics Transfer Switch part # PD5110010Q as the manufacturer does not offer replacement relays for this unit nor are they serviceable.
This is all explained on page 2 of the owner's manual if you would like further clarification.

I recently added a Xantrex Freedom X 3000w inverter to my Escape trailer (no inverter previously installed) and have learned I also need to add a transfer switch to control current from only one 120v source: Shore power or the inverter. But the GFCO controller has an integrated battery charger that I do not want energized when feeding current from the inverter. Does the Progressive Dynamics PD5110010Q automatic transfer switch have an output that goes to the controller/charger so that the charger will not be energized when running current from the inverter? Or do I need to purchase GoPower's version of this automatic transfer switch (342GPTS) to get this feature? Thank you,
