Can Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Be Installed on 2016 Toyota RAV4 without a Lift
Question:
Hello, i recently bought the C13149 Curt hitch receiver from etrailer, for my 2016 Toyota RAV4 SE. I do not have pump jack, jack stands or a lift. Is it possible to install the hitch receiver without raising the SUV. I had tough time removing the tow hook with a regular socket set, had to use a steel pipe for extra torque.

A lift or jack stands would certainly make things a bit easier but you should be able to install the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # C13149 on your 2016 Toyota RAV4 without them. This is a pretty simple bolt-on installation and the only difficulty you might have when doing this without lifting up the RAV4 is the balancing act of lowering the exhaust and getting the hitch up in position. I do recommend having an extra set of hands with this.
Just looking through the customer reviews for this specific hitch and the similar hitches available for your RAV4 I did find multiple descriptions of being able to perform the install without a lift. I have attached one of these below.
