What Parts do I need for Towing a Trailer with a 1999 Toyota Solara

I have 1999 V6 toyota solara and i am looking to buy hitch #36336. I will be using my car to pull a 4X 8 trailer. Can you please guide me what else i need to buy to pull that trailer like the size of the ballmount etc.

Draw-Tite part # 36336 does not include the manufacturer recommended ballmount, part # 36061. The only other pieces you would need are the trailer ball, the pin and clip or lock for securing the ball mount into the receiver and the wiring harness for your 1999 Solara.
You would need to hardwire your vehicle with a wiring harness using part # 119178KIT.
The ball mount recommended for your hitch uses a 3/4 inch ball shank diameter hole, so you will need to select a ball with that size shank. You will also need to determine the ball diameter needed to fit the trailer coupler. On the trailer coupler, you will find the ball size, either 1-7/8 inch or 2 inch in this case, stamped into the metal. Figure out what ball diameter you need and select the ball with the right ball diameter and a 3/4 inch diameter shank. I will include a link below with all of our 3/4 inch diameter shank hitch balls.
