Running Light Circuit Not Working on Trailer Wiring Installed on a 2011 Dodge Journey
Question:
I have read your replies to others concerning wiring for the 2011 Dodge Journey and have found your suggestions spot on. Upon wiring the modulite system to my Journey Ive noticed that everything is working well except for the Tail light circuit portion of the modulite box. Ive checked the power and circuits going into the box and they are indeed the vehicles correct tail light wire white with grey tracer but when I turn on the tail lights and check the output for power brown wire there is nothing. Everything else works correctly turns and stop. Is this a problem with the modulate box or is there something else you have in mind. Thanks

Since you have tested the wires going into the converter and have found that the running light wire works going into the converter but not coming out that leads me to believe that the converter is bad and it will need to be replaced.
Before throwing in the towel I do recommend making sure the ground for the converter is attached to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface. Also, if the converter is not attached to the positive battery terminal it will not function properly.
I have included a couple of links for reference. One is the installation details and the other is a troubleshooting video on testing a Modulite.
