Correct Roadmaster Sway Bars for 2015 Thor ACE 27.1 Motorhome
Question:
What chassis does a class A 2015 Thor ACE 27.1 model use? The GVW is 16,000 pounds. Is it an F-53 or an F-550? Does it use the 1139-148 antisway bar for the front and the 1139-146 for the rear? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
Based on my research your 2015 Thor ACE 27.1 is built on the Ford F-53 chassis. I checked with Roadmaster and for your Thor ACE that features a GVWR of 16,000 pounds the correct sway bars are indeed the part # RM-1139-148 for the front axle and # RM-1139-146 for the rear axle.
Both of these components will do an excellent job of keeping the RV in line during travel and just improving the overall driving experience on the road by adding stability and control. I have attached a couple installation videos that you can check out as well.
