How Difficult Is the Installation of the Tandem Axle Lift Kit
Question:
Hi, how difficult is the installation of this product? I have a 2016 heartland Sundance 29 foot fifth wheel. It looks like what I need. I need at least 2 inches of lift to help level my fifth wheel with my pick up.

The most difficult parts of installing the Tandem Axle Lift Kit # RR23QX is jacking the trailer up to release pressure from the leaf springs and then making sure everything is level. Aside from that you are essentially removing the wet bolts and replacing them with the new bracket and bolts.
The installation instructions have been linked to this page for you to reference.
Another option that is actually more cost effective is to install an over-under conversion kit if your axle is still located above your leaf springs. For a 2-3/8" axle you need part # K71-384-00 but for a 3" axle you need part # K71-385-00. These kits raise the height of your trailer the equivalent to the thickness of your axle plus the height of your leaf spring stack. So you will get more than 2" of height no matter which option fits your application.
