Which Trailer Hitch for 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Has Best Clearance for Bike Rack to Fit Past Spare

Question:

2018 Wrangler JK Spare tire does not clear bike rack when the back rack is in the lower position, which prevents access to the cargo area. Is there an extender, or elbow, for the hitch which would allow the tire to clear the bike rack?

We do have hitch extenders that you could possibly use to help get your bike rack out past your rear spare but the best solution is the trailer hitch part # e98856 instead of the # 13432 as this hitch has a longer hitch tube which puts the hitch accessory out further on the rear of the Jeep for better clearance. When this hitch is installed the center of it's hitch pin will only be 2-1/2 inches away from the outer edge of a factory sized spare.

For a 7 inch hitch extender we have the part # HE06 which would help your situation, but you have to keep in mind that when you use an extender like this you end up cutting the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent.
