Conversion Kit to go From Manual Awning to Power Awning

Hi, i am interested in buying a solera 12 v power awning on a second hand sight. It is brand new. The guy has the 12 foot awning and a solera universal hardware kit that says power awning to solera 12v power awning. Would i be able to use this kit to install the power awning even though what i have now is manual, not power? I was hoping that i could take off the manual all together and just put on the power one. The one i want to purchase has a awning with it. He also said the awning is currently set up for manual, but has that kit that should convert it. Im just not sure if it would work.

To go from a manual crank awning to a powered awning you are going to need the correct part, which is a conversion kit. I don't know what someone on a second-hand site would be able to offer but all you need to replace a manual crank Dometic, Carefree, or Solera awning is the Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit - White # LC434724 or Black # LC434723.

You can replace the arms on your Dometic manual pull down awning with electrical arms, which is usually a much more convenient and cost effective option than replacing the entire awning itself. To replace the arms you can use either part #LC434723…
