How to Transport a Trailer with a 2015 Honda CR-V
Question:
Hi I drive a Honda CRV with the 1 1/4? reciever. Is there a motorcycle carrier out there that would fit this. I can only find the 2inch reciever. I have plenty of tongue weight capacity 800lbs

I do have a way that you could possibly transport your motorcycle with your 2015 Honda CR-V but unfortunately all of the motorcycle carriers are fits for 2" receivers so you will need to use a trailer to move your motorcycle around. It is worth noting as well that the online version of your owner's manual states that the vehicle is only rated to tow 1,500 lbs and that the tongue weight should never exceed 10% of that (which means you have 150 lbs of tongue weight). Even if your 1-1/4" receiver is rated for 800 lbs tongue weight (which seems unusually high for a 1-1/4" receiver) you can only put 150 lbs of tongue weight on your CR-V.
Since you already have a trailer hitch that means you just need to install wiring and a ball mount. I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118561 because it is the most reliable option we have to offer for your vehicle and then a ball mount kit like the Reese # RP7043000 which has a 3/4" rise and comes with a 2" hitch ball plus the hitch pin and clip to secure the ball mount. You will want to refer to the linked ball mount article to ensure that the 3/4" rise is correct for your towing application.
Attached is an installation video for the wiring and a review video for the ball mount kit that you can reference.
