Recommended Side Frame Mount 5K Trailer Jack for 7200-lb Trailer
Question:
Can I relocate my A-Frame Trailer Jack - Topwind - 5,000 lbs to a new welded plate like 4 inches to the back to avoid the tailgate to hitting the jack? or Can I relocate the triangle base on the jack a little bit higher to push down the top of the jack? or do you have a jack the is lower from the a-frame to the top of the jack

Expert Reply:
I can't recommend modifying either your A-frame trailer's jack mount or the jack itself to give you the tailgate clearance you need since that would void their warranties. However there is an easier option. You can install a side-frame-mount jack like the bolt-on sidewind 5K Fulton # HD50000101. This jack includes a foot plate and it also has a drop leg to provide 14-inches of instant extension. It fits frames up to 3-inches wide and 5-inches tall.
