Recommended Roof Rack and Kayak Carriers for 2011 Toyota Camry with Fishing Kayak and Regular Kayak

Question:

I have a 2011 toyota camry. I have a regular kayak and my husband has a fishing kayak. Can my camry hold both of these at the same time and if so what would I need to order?

If your 2011 Camry doesn't have a roof rack, we need to start there. I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 54" long # RRVA137B-2 (instead of the 46" Long # RRVA118B-2), 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA, and Custom DK Fit Kit # DK114. This system comes with the locks you need and also will give you a capacity of 165 lbs.

This will allow you to carry a fishing kayak using the Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Rear Loading Kayak Carrier - Saddle Style - Rear Loading - Channel Mount # RR581 and a regular kayak using # E98878 for a J-style carrier. The fishing kayaks are so wide, that I recommend using the longer crossbars for easier loading and enough room for both kayaks.

You can use the Thule Stacker # TH830 you asked from, but fishing kayaks ride better on the saddle style carrier and the folding J-style for your regular kayak is also a much better option.
