Replacing 4-Way of Trailer that Has 5 Wires Ran to It
Question:
My old connector has the green/brown, yellow/brown, and a white. New connector has green, yellow, brown, and white. How do I connect my new plug?

You'll need to take the green/brown wire and the yellow/brown wire of your trailer wiring and run both to the single brown wire of your new connector. Your trailer has a running light wire for each side of the trailer since that circuit runs to both sides of the trailer. This is known as "wishbone" style wiring. The rest of the wires would match color for color.
