How To Transfer Crossbars From a 2019 Ford F-350 to a Leer 100RC Topper

I have a 2019 Ford SuperDuty Crew Cab w\ a Leer 100RC topper. The roof load capacity of the topper is 400 pounds. Although question is submitted through a specific item, I welcome advice on any other items that would work. 1. I would like to install one set of bars on the truck cab, and one on the topper, as canoes\kayaks will span both. At times I may want to move the truck cab bars to the topper to have two sets on topper. 2.The topper has tracks already installed by Leer dealer, with the literature for them indicating they are for the Thule Tracker II system. However, this system appears to no longer be available anywhere. Will Yakima work with these tracks? 3. The truck roof is bare. No tracks. 4. I would prefer to have the same model of crossbars on both. 5. I would like bars and feet that will carry at least 200 pounds. 250+ strongly preferred. 6. The page for the complete kit through which I submitted this question says the HD bars will take 500 lbs however the included feet\podiums will only take 165 lbs. 7. I need a system that locks, to prevent theft. Thanks in advance for your response. Your QandA feature and helpful\accurate answers are the reason I have spent several thousand dollars at Etrailer over the last couple of years, and is the only place I shop for anything you guys carry, from hitches to paper plate holders.

The track systems are all pretty much universal so you can use Yakima accessories in Thule tracks or vice versa. In regards to weight, you will be limited to 165 lbs per set of crossbars no matter which system you choose as that is all the mounting feet can handle, even with the Yakima HD Crossbars System. The vehicle's roof would likely not be able to handle much more than this either. However, you can carry up to 330 lbs total but you would need to distribute the weight so that 165 lbs is on the vehicle's roof and 165 lbs on the topper.

Please note that the mounting feet for your truck are different than the topper so you will need to have an extra set for when you use the vehicle's roof rack on the topper. I have attached the parts that you will need below:

In order to add locks to all eight (in-use) mounting feet above you will also need part # Y07208. Once you swap out the mounting feet you can do so for the other four locks as well.
