Recommended Trailer Dolly for Maneuvering 4,500 lb Trailer Into Storage Area

Question:

We have a camping trailer that has a dry weight of 4,500 lbs dry weight. I want to buy a dolly that can help me back it into a tight area for storge when we are not using it. Can you help me determine the best dolly for the job at the least amount of costs?

Due to the size of your trailer, I recommend a dolly with a brake and a way to more easily move the trailer so you can move it versus it moving you.

A great option for you is the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover - Topwind - 15" Lift - 500 lbs # STC-V211. This attached to your trailer frame and has a swivel so it can remain on your trailer all the time. This will also allow you to use a cordless drill and attachment # TVDA to help you move the trailer.

If you don't want a constant mount then your best option and my recommendation is the Trailer Valet XL. You can choose from the 2 inch ball version # TVXL2 and the 2-5/16 inch ball option # TVXL25. These can also use the drill attachment. I've attached videos to assist. The system will give you ease of use as well as safety so you can maneuver into your tight storage area without losing control and damaging the trailer or harming yourself in the process. It has adjustable height, two speed settings and the brake.
