Compatibility of Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack on 2018 Volvo XC60

Question:

Y02634 just want to confirm that this bike rack can fit a 2018 Volvo xc60. Im worried about the hooks at end of straps will scratch or damage my vehicle. Is there a video of this rack being installed on this vehicle

The Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # Y02634 is a confirmed fit from the manufacturer for your 2018 Volvo XC60. This means they physically tested it on your year/make/model of vehicle. Unfortunately we don't have a video of this rack on your vehicle, but we do have a tech note that the weight limit for 2 bikes on your vehicle is 60 lbs and both the upper and lower hooks on the straps must be in stalled in anchor mode on your vehicle. I've attached a photo from the attached instructions to assist. The hooks are designed to not cause any issues with paint, but the anchor mode actually further mitigates that possibility. You will just want to note that prolonged use can deform your interior headliner in those anchor locations.

I recommend also using the Softride Soft Hook-and-Loop Tie Down for Bike Racks # SR54FR to secure your front wheel to the frame so you don't have bike contact or vehicle contact as you travel.
