Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2014 Ford Escape Titanium with Hands Free Lift Gate
Question:
First will this hitch fit a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium, just like it did on the 2012 model in your video? Will the foot activated rear lift gate still work properly with the hitch installed?

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75782 is the best fit for your 2014 Ford Escape Titanium. This hitch is designed for the hands-free lift gate system to work as originally designed without any modifications needed. This hitch will have a really nice look installed and I've attached a video of this installation to assist.
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e56AR is not a fit for your 2014 Ford Escape Titanium. That part fits 2005-2012 models only.
If you will be towing with this hitch, I recommend wiring harness # 118566 which will connect behind your tail lights to the factory wiring harness and then will use a bracket like # 18144. I've attached some videos to show this installation.
For a ball mount, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900 to give you options for different trailers and the different rise or drop to assist with level towing. This kit comes with the ball mount, the hitch ball, and the pin and clip as well as storage for the alternative parts. I added a help article to help with determining the correct combination for each trailer.
