The reason the Kuat NV 2.0 Platform Bike Rack # NV22G that you referenced can't be used at the back of a motorhome is simply because the manufacturer has determined that mounting the carrier in this manner could potentially cause damage. The ride at the back of a motorhome or trailer is much different, and a lot rougher, than what is experienced at the rear of a standard passenger vehicle. This is because the hitch is going to be positioned much further away from the rear axle. Just think about the ride quality difference between sitting at the front and sitting towards the back of a long bus.

Because of this extra movement and bounce that a bike rack goes through at the back of a motorhome only certain carriers are tested and approved for this use. It really doesn't have anything to do with the weight capacity of the motorhome or the trailer hitch it's equipped with.

Kuat does not rate any of their bike racks for this application but for a similar option both in terms of quality and features that is approved for use on a motorhome I highly recommend the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV. This is an excellent platform-style rack that will secure your bikes by the front wheels without any frame contact and its large wheel cradles allow for an easier loading process. It can handle 2 bikes that weigh up to 60 pounds each and integrated locks will help to secure your investments.

I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
