I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2018 Chevy Equinox and it states under the Recreational Towing section that only front-wheel-drive models with the 1.5L Gas or 1.6L Diesel engine can be flat towed with all 4 wheels on the ground. It states that all other engine/transmission combinations must be towed by either a platform trailer (with all 4 wheels off the ground) or a tow dolly.

Since your Equinox has the 2.0L Turbo Engine you will need to either use a platform trailer or tow dolly to pull the vehicle behind an RV. I do still recommend verifying this information by checking your copy of the owner's manual or even by visiting a local Chevy dealer with your VIN.

For a tow dolly the Demco Kar Kaddy X # DM9713093 is a really great option that features a 4,800 pound weight capacity (plenty for your Equinox), integrated signal lights with a 4-Way harness to connect to the RV, and a hydraulic braking system for easy and safe stopping. Its tilting bed frame allows for easy loading and unloading and the steerable axle will provide a much better towing experience on the road with more control.
