Roof Rack for 2013 Honda Accord Sedan that Can Carry 110 lbs of Cargo

Question:

I have a 2013 Honda Accord 4cyl/4door. I am going to place 110 lbs worth of cargo on a Rhino Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack. Part #s RRVA137B-2, RRRLKVA, DK359 and 4 underside tie downs # RRS606, and 4 Cam Buckle Cinch Straps #E98876. I have factory tie off points under the front and rear bumpers. I am also going to use 2 Rola Ratchet tie down straps #59305 to secure the front end of the load and the back end of the load so in actuality the load is now secured in 6 places. The entire load is 18inch above the crossbar on the rack and 53inch wide. It will be easy to tie it down to the rack and I have additional straps to secure anything else needed. I tried to send a photo but my computer is not cooperating. I spoke to the Rhino representative at Rhino Rack who said my car will handle 165lbs. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you have a well thought out plan for carrying cargo on the roof of your 2013 Honda Accord sedan with the roof rack # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK359 and the straps you mentioned as well # RRS606, # E98876, and # 59305. I tried pulling up the owners manual of your vehicle to verify what the roof weight capacity of it is but it's not listed there. You should be fine like Rhino Rack told you but it would also not be a terrible idea to check with a local Honda dealer.
