Correct Wiring Adapter for Draw-Tite Brake Controller in 2003 Chevy Suburban
Question:
switched my brake controller from my 2002 suburban where it was working fine, into a 2003 suburban using same adapter into the fuse block. Digital display works with manual slide switch activating brakes but nothing with brake pedal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are using the adapter # 3025-P with the Draw-Tite Activator # 5504 on your 2003 Chevy Suburban then that is your problem. The 3025-P is the correct adapter for your 2002 Chevy Suburban but for your 2003 Suburban you actually need the adapter # 3015-P.
GM changed the pin where the stop light switch is at from the 2002 to the 2003 as you can see from the attached pictures of both connectors (note the location change of the red wire). You can possibly relocate the red wire on your current adapter but if you don't feel comfortable doing this then you just need to purchase the 3015-P adapter and use it instead.
