How to Install a Mini LED Clearance Light in 1/4 inch Plywood on a Custom Made Tear Drop Trailer
Question:
I am building a 80inch wide tear trailer, so I got these maker lights red and amber, but cannot see how to install them in the roof, which is made of 1/4inch plywood. Wiring will run between the two layers of plywood. There is nothing to lock down the light.

You are correct, the rubber grommet included with the Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light, # MCL11RKB, is designed to be installed in a metal housing that is significantly thinner than the 1/4 inch plywood that you are using for the skin of your tear drop trailer.
I would recommend cutting a larger hole in the skin of your trailer and then adding a piece of aluminum with the light installed in that. Of course this would require a bit of body work for a professional looking installation.
