Excessive Trailer Sway While Towing with Late Model Ford F-150 Using Sway Control
Question:
We are pulling our new trailer. We have Equalizer hitch and ensured all tires are properly inflated. Still at 60 mph, we have sway. Why?

I do have some things that you can adjust on the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System but I will say this is a common compliant with the late model Ford F-150's. The weight distribution system could very well be setup properly as well as the trailer loaded correctly but yet still have sway. I can't say exactly what causes this but I can say this is not uncommon and we hear this compliant quite often. I have heard some people that have the factory airbags have had success with turning the system off while towing as the up and down adjustments while in tow can cause sway issues.
The photo you attached looks like everything is setup correctly but what you can do is play with the settings more, i.e. use a higher setting on the l-bracket and take out spacers or use a lower setting on the l-bracket and add more spacers. With that being said, I wish I had better advice for you but there is just something about the late model Ford F-150's where customers get excessive sway at highway speed even with a sway control system.
If you have the factory airbags then try disabling them but you might also have success adding an electric sway control device in addition to the Equal-i-zer, the Curt Electronic Sway Control System part # C94VV.
