Trailer Hitch for 2018 Ford Edge that is Rated for Weight Distribution System
Question:
I want to use weight distribution on my ford edge because it levels the car out the curt hitch says it not rated for weight distribution. does that mean I cant use it or did I make a poor choice when I bought the curt hitch. trailer weight is 2200 pounds but has a 400 pound hitch weight

We have hitches that are a fit for your 2018 Ford Edge that are rated for weight distribution systems but the Curt you have can't be used with a WD system. Doing so would potentially damage the hitch and the vehicle.
Instead the Draw Tite hitch # 75234 is what you'd need as it is rated for a WD system.
For a system then I'd recommend the Strait Line system part # RP66082 as it has a tongue weight range of 200 to 400 lbs and features only sway control that works to fight sway before it starts.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
