Comparing Husky Center Line Systems for Trailer with Loaded Hitch Weight Between 700-800 lbs

Question:

I am trying to decide between the Husky HT32218 and the Husky HT32217. I have a trailer with a loaded hitch weight between 700-800 lbs. I will also have some items in the bed. The trailers loaded weight is around 6,500 lbs. Would you recommend going with the HT32218?

The Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # HT32218 is rated for total tongue weights between 800 and 1,200 lbs. The Husky Center Line # HT32217 is rated for total tongue weights between 600 and 800 lbs.

Without a doubt, I recommend the # HT32218 based on the information you gave. With your hitch weight between 700 and 800 lbs loaded, once you add any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle, you will be over the limit of the smaller system. It would be far better to be on the low end of the larger system than even slightly over the capacity of the smaller system.
