Supplies Needed to Install Replacement Ceiling Vent
Question:
I am planning on replacing my stock vent with a maxfan 6200K in my KZ sportsman classic and I wanted to make sure I had all of the supplies I need to do the install job. Aside from the vent do I need to get your vent install kit 344270KITW or do I just need some sealant 0160297 Thanks

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-06200K will install in the exact same cutout as the stock vent. You will simply need some sealant and screws. Many will choose to use the Roof Vent Installation Kit - Sealant, Butyl Tape, Screws - White # 344270KITW. You don't absolutely need both butyl tape and sealant, so many will use the LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Self-Leveling Sealant - White - Qty 1 # 34427034145-1 or # 0160297 and then the Zinc Sheet Metal Screw - 8 x 3/4" Indented Hex Washer Head - Hex Slotted Drive # 31071.
