Question:

2005 Jayco Designer -I have no power to the jacks when using battery power generator power the only time they work is when the truck is plugged in and running.Switch works, fuse is good and motor runs.I have 12v inside lights, fans etc. only the jacks no power.I do not find any other fuses or breakers that serve the jacks other than the inline 30A. Sorry to hear about the hair loss but I'm sure it can grow back after you figure out the issue. It sounds like you have narrowed it down quite a bit if the switch, fuses and motor all seem to be fine and the jacks work when plugged into the truck. I don't know what jacks you have, what generator you are using or how the jacks are connected but the wiring seems like the only thing that can be causing the problem. Either you do not have a good ground somewhere or you have crimped or broken wires but either way I do not recommend running a jack off a generator. It should definitely have its own 12 volt power source.
