Troubleshooting Husky Brute Trailer Jack With Remote that Retracts Without Remote

Question:

My jack operates on its own with out input from the remote. I just installed the jack and have noticed several times that the jack has retracted on its own either over night or sometime during the day. I have my RV supported with scissor jacks and the tongue jack but several times the tongue jack has been inches above the ground. Is there a way to disable the remote control feature on this Jack? Thank you

The Husky Brute Jacks like # HT87247 had some models with remote like you referenced. You may want to start by removing the battery from the remote in case it is actually giving a slow retraction signal. Although that is unlikely, it is worth a shot. The remote control panel is likely what is the issue or the physical switch itself allowing a slight power draw. The easiest way to disable the jack so it doesn't retract without replacing the component issue is to put a toggle switch like the Pollak Heavy-Duty Toggle Switch - SPDT- On-Off-On - 12 Volt - 50 Amp - 1" Handle # PK34218 to disable the power line to the battery. If power can't get to the unit...it can't retract on it's own.

There has to be a receiver for the remote inside the housing prior to the motor, but I don't have any access to the schematic to walk you through that disabling.
