I have a classIII hitch for my tacoma, but what I need is the bolt kit. Is this something I can buy separate, or should I just go to the hardware store?

Yes, you can replace the hardware for your Class III hitch on the 2018 Toyota Tacoma with part # RHK. Go to the RHK product page. Select either Curt or Draw-Tite (whichever brand hitch you have) and put the hitch part number in the "hitch item number" box.
The Curt Class III that fits the 2018 Toyota Tacoma is part # C13264.
