Parts Needed to Tow Trailer with 2001 Acura TL
Question:
I would like to buy a trailer hitch for my 2001 Acura 3.2TL. I also need the wiring harness and would like a hitch ball as well. The related items under the Curt trailer hitch for the 2001 Acura TL look correct. Are there any other related items I would need? I wanted to buy them all at once. I can install them myself. Im a United States Marine stationed at Fort Gordon, GA and there is an auto hobby shop on base.

First things first I want to thank you for your service.
Now for the parts needed to tow a trailer with your Acura TL you are on the perfect track! The Curt Class I Frame Receiver Hitch # C11290 that you referenced is confirmed to fit your 2001 Acura TL and is It features a 2,000 pound towing weight capacity and a 200 pound tongue weight limit.
I have attached the installation instructions that you can take a look at as well.
For trailer wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118336 that will plug right into a factory port inside the trunk behind the driver side tail light. This allows for a really simple plug-and-play install without any splicing and we have found that the Tekonsha converter boxes tend to hold up much better over time than those from other manufacturers. This will give you a 4-Way connector to power a trailer's basic signal lights.
Then for a ball mount the Draw-Tite # 3592 should work perfectly with its 2-1/8 inch rise or 2-3/4 inch drop. You will just need to add a compatible hitch ball like the 1-7/8 inch # 19256 or the 2 inch # 19258 depending on what size ball the coupler on your trailer accepts.
This is everything you will need to pull a light trailer with your 2001 Acura TL. I have attached a couple articles on trailer towing that you might also find helpful.
