Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2013 Lexus ES350 for Best Visual Appearance
Question:
Aesthetics The hitch looks unsightly on the car to me. I have a 2013 ES 350 and I think it would make the back of the car look ugly as the hitch is soooo noticeable and extends to far down below the bumper and extends from wheel to wheel. Is there a way to have the hitch further in towards the rear seat so it cant be seen? I had another hitch put on another Lexus 350 by U Haul and it made the car look awful and I dont want to repeat that mistake with this ES 350 Your thoughts, please?

We don't have any alternative with a more hidden crossbar from any of our manufacturers so the aesthetics are basically choosing between the options available for your vehicle. In my opinion the Curt hitch # C11362 is a slightly better look than the Draw-Tite # 36530. I have attached photos of each to assist. For some the round crossbar of the Curt is less noticeable than the square tube crossbar of the Draw-Tite. You cannot move them closer to the backseat as you stated because of the required attachment points and you need the receiver tube to be a certain distance from the bumper for accessory fit and compatibility.
The biggest difference between these two options other than a slight difference in appearance is the class and capacity difference. The Curt option that I believe looks nicer is only rated for 200 lbs tongue weight and is only compatible with class I accessories which is more limiting. It also requires stabilization strap # 18050 for a bike carrier or cargo carrier according to the manufacturer warranty. The Draw-Tite option is more versatile with the class II rating and is rated to support 350 lbs tongue weight.
