No Space for Hitch Installation on 2005 Freightliner Sprinter 2500HC
Question:
I have a 2005 Frightliner 2500hc sprinter -118 wheelbase. I ordered a hitch that matched that model and it does not fit. My suspension ends right at the bumper, leaving no space like most videos I see. Do you have a hitch that works?? Ideas? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
The Curt hitch # 13250 that you referenced is specified as a fit on the 118-inch SRW, 140-inch SRW, 158-inch SRW and the 158-inch DRW versions of the 2005 Freightliner Sprinter HC, but the base model only. If yours is an RV cutaway/cab-and-chassis with modifications and the suspension reaches all the way to the rear bumper then there is no hitch that will fit according to my contact at Curt.
We do offer adjustable/universal RV hitches like # 13703 and others shown on the linked page but these will still need adequate space for installation.
