On your 2014 Ford F-150 if you don't have factory wiring, you will simply splice into the tail light wiring at your tail lights to get the 4-way functions using # C58044. If you have the factory 4-way, then the harness may be bad or need help connecting. The Curt # C56110 is intended as a factory replacement for your truck. Make sure all the pins are not bent and the connection is free of debris or corrosion.
If you have the factory 7-way, you will want to check your factory wiring harness and if each function checks out at the plug behind the bumper that corresponds to the correct pin function, then you will simply use a new harness like # C55774. You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993.
If you want to check your fuses, there are a number to check in the power distribution box. You can check 6, 9, 17, 21, 37, 38, 39, 43 and relays 67, 73. Then you can check fuse 37 inside the passenger compartment panel at the foot well.
