Hitch High-Low Extender Adapter for Use With Anti-Rattle Pin That Bolts in
Question:
I recently returned an extension with rise/ option because the receiving part of the adapter where you drive the pin through was not screw in compatible. I am looking for exactly this where I can drive a actual screw through the receiving end of the extension and tighten both ends. Preferably, if the adapter had the option of both ends being screw compatible that would be better. Again, the purpose is to drive a pin through and tighten it with a socket to eliminate vibration, knocking, and/or the adapter being loose. The previous adapter purchases was loose once installed and with a pin through it. Please advise what adapter to use for a 2inch x 2inch fitting.

By receiver end I take it that you mean the solid shank end of the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter # RM-048-4 that fits in the trailer hitch receiver on your motorhome. If this is the case then the Curt Hitch Extender # C45791 is designed the exact same way.
For a 4" drop/rise adapter that has a hollow shank you can use an anti-rattle device like part # 63232 we have the High-Low Adapter # BLU34TR. This allows you to insert the block from the anti-rattle pin to help keep this from moving in your trailer hitch receiver.
Another product that you may consider using is the Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061 this clamps around the collar on your hitch receiver and then "clamps" (for lack of a better term) down the shank of the adapter to help keep it from moving.
As always, using an adapter will reduce the weight rating of your trailer hitch by 50% so even though the Blue Ox has a tongue weight rating of 500 lbs if you cut the tongue weight of your hitch receiver in half and it is under that 500 lb mark then the lower rating is what you need to stick to.
