Why is There a Blue Screen With Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera on 2011 Chevy Silverado

Camera was installed on my 2011 Chev Silverado approx. 5-6years ago and it worked great until today. Now Im getting just a blue screen on the monitor.all connections were dielectric grease and taped when installed, and all connections are tight. Possible camera issue?

What the blue screen on your Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 means is that you have an issue with the monitor receiving a connection.
This could mean that your wiring is somehow damaged so start by going over any visible wiring to see if there is an issue there which would indicate exactly what the problem is. The other possibility is that the monitor for one reason or another has simply worn out.
If this is the case, or the wiring is damaged then you will need to replace the unit with a new system.
