Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 7,000 pound axle the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # 23-465 for the Right Hand and # 23-464 for the Left Hand will provide you with the best and most reliable setup. Dexter is well known in the industry for their USA made trailer brakes and they been doing it for over 50 years.
These particular 12 x 2 inch assemblies feature a Nev-R-Adjust design that eliminate the need to perform any periodic manual adjustments after the initial install (they simply adjust automatically as you tow the trailer). They are designed specifically for use on 7,000 pound axles like what you have so they are up to the task of getting your heavy load to a quick stop.
The assemblies feature a 5 bolt mounting pattern. You will just want to make sure this matches your existing axle mounting flanges. I have attached a couple of short video demonstrations that you can check out as well.
