Does it Matter Which Positive and Negative Battery Terminals are Used When Connecting 2 6V Batteries
Question:
In the diagram for setting up 6 volt batteries in series to give 12 V you have the - and + close together and the outside - and + going to the trailer. Can this be reversed so the inside neg and pos are going to the trailer and the outside neg and pos are connected? I dont have lot wire from trailer to reach out side of battery. something like this trailer Red Black - + - + ______________________________

Yes, you can connect your 6V batteries so that the inside terminals are used for the trailer and the outside terminals are used to connect the batteries together like you mentioned. The diagram that we typically use (which I attached) is just a standard setup that people normally use.
