Troubleshooting LED Trailer Tail Lights that Flicker When Vehicle is Off
Question:
I have a 2016 F150 like the user in the above question and the same problem...I think. He says his tailights randomly blink while my rear marker lamps 2-red running lamps randomly blink when all power in the truck is shut off. I have a seven pin connector on the 2019 Triton boat trailer mfg by EZ Loader that I just got 3 weeks ago. My quandary is that the other two yellow side marker lamps running lights do NOT blink randomly. The answer given to question 147524 makes perfect sense but I would think all marker lights running lamps would blink randomly. I agree the problem is a warranty problem but the dealer is 2 1/2 hours away and this is fishing season!! Suggestions/comments? Place to start testing? Thank you

If the lights are functioning properly when the vehicle is on you're totally fine to either ignore the problem (if you can) or unplug the trailer wiring when not in use to prevent it from happening. Unfortunately it only takes a fraction of an amp to light up an LED so the small bleed through on your circuits is going to light them up here and there. i would still try load resistors like the Diamond # DI34ZR
