Will Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155 Fit a 2009 Jeep Wrangler for Flat Towing

Question:

Your video shows some jeeps using the rm155 wiring kit but the info does not show any jeeps using it. Is the 2012 video the same as it would be for a 2009 Wrangler?

The Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155 will fit some Jeeps but unfortunately it is not compatible with a 2007-2010 Jeep Wrangler. Since you have a 2009 Wrangler I recommend going with the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 instead. This simply splices in behind your tail lights and it also gives you the ability to easily install the Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766 since your battery must be disconnected to flat tow. I have attached an installation video of the wiring kit on a 2014 Wrangler for you to check out.

For a complete flat towing setup you will also need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
