Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for 2011 Ford Edge
Question:
I plan on purchasing Item # 75992 for my 2011 Ford Edge. I want to aslo purchase a wiring harness, but do not want it wiring to just hang out the lift gate. Do you have a suggestion for an external mounted plugin for my trailer wiring harness? Let me know. Thanks!

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75992 is a great option for your 2011 Ford Edge though in terms of a wiring harness, there isn't a harness that is an external plug-in or that can be mounted externally unless you do your own modification and find a way to route the harness underneath your Edge. As you can see by the accompanying cut out of the reviews I added we did have one customer run the 4-way through the grommet on the left side of the spare tire in a '11 Edge.
The most reliable wiring harnesses are from Tekonsha and I strongly recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118515 for your 2011 Edge. You will need to use the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58000 because the Draw-Tite Hitch # 75992 is concealed under car which is going to prevent the use of any bracket that attaches to your hitch.
I have added links to video installs of the hitch, wiring and bracket for you to take a look at.
