Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-150 to Remove Sag When Towing

Question:

I have a Leveled 2017 F-150, I have a Ranger 1850LS boat that use to sag my 14 GMC 1500 also was leveled and want to eliminate the sag in the 17 Ford...so my question....would you recommend timbrens or air lift 5000, I just hate a sagging truck while towing the boat!!

For your situation I would recommend air bags as they let you tailor exactly how much suspension support you'll get to raise the rear suspension exactly as much as needed to totally remove sag. They also don't affect ride quality when not towing either since you can deflate the bags. This is a feature the Timbrens don't have as they are always there and for some people will make the unloaded ride quality rough.

For that I recommend the Firestone kit part # F2582 which is a confirmed fit and has higher quality air bags than Air Lift. I attached an install video as well.

For a compressor kit then I'd recommend the Firestone Air Command I part # F2097 because it comes with a heavy duty compressor which will inflate the bags quicker and it comes with a gauge you will mount on the interior of your vehicle to allow you to easily monitor/inflate/deflate as needed.

Since you have a leveling kit you may need a spacer for the Firestone bags depending on how much distance the kit added between the frame of the truck and the axle. Some lifts don't add any distance here whereas others do and require spacers like the # F2366 which is for 2 inch lifts.
