On a 1993 Chevy Pickup, you will have to perform a hardwire installation. To start, you would need a 4-Way if the truck does not already have one, # 118315. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.

Then, you will need to install a 4- and 7-Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. This kit will provide all the wiring and accessories you will need to install a brake controller. I have included a link to an FAQ article and a link to a video that will explain how to install an ETBC7. You may also need a circuit tester like # PTW2993 unless you already have one.

For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885. It is one of our best selling and most popular controllers because it is easy to set up and easy to use. I have included a link to the installation details for the controller as well.
