Distance From Top of Spring Bar to Top of Trailer Frame on Blue Ox WD System # BXW1000 on 9th Link
Question:
This may seem like an odd question, but here goes.....I am interested in the blue ox sway pro bxw1000. However, my trailer frame is non typical. Could you please tell me the measurement between the top of the bar chain end and the top of a trailer frame when the hitch is set on the #9 link as recommended in the instructions? My trailer frame is tall and I want to make sure the end of the bars will not come into contact with the frame. Thank you

From the top of the spring bar where the chain attaches on the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System # BXW1000 to the top of your trailer frame there will be a distance of just about 11 inches when set on the 9th link. Please also keep in mind that because of how the clamp on brackets attach to the frame this particular system will only work well on frames that are up to 6 inches tall.
For taller frames your best option will be to add the Reese Chain Hangers # RP58305 to use in place of the included brackets. These will bolt to the outside of the trailer frame so its height is not an issue.
